BPL ROUND-UP: CORNALL STRIKES THIRD CENTURY IN A WEEK

Taylor Cornall hit 186 not out – his third century in a week – for Ombersley in their drawn Birmingham and District Premier League encounter with Knowle and Dorridge.

Cornall followed up his 126 not out against Barnt Geen and 128 for Worcestershire Seconds in the Championship win over Northamptonshire with another excellent knock.

He struck four sixes and 22 fours in his 157 ball knock and put on 229 for the second wicket with Nick Hammond (94).

Ombersley totalled 319-3 in 52 overs but rain intervened with Knowle and Dorridge ending on 96-3 from 21.2 overs.

Josh Baker was unbeaten 39 from just 17 balls with three sixes and three fours as he gave the Kenilworth Wardens innings late impetus in a total of 252-6 from 38 overs against Berkswell.

The left arm spinner also picked up two wickets but the spoils were shared with Berkswell closing on 122-4 from 24 overs.

Rehaan Edavalath top-scored for Barnards Green who enjoyed the better of a drawn meeting with champions Smethwick.

Edavalath battled away for 93 balls to make 41 with six fours out of a total of 129 all out from 40.2 overs.

Smethwick were then struggling at 68-7 from 21 overs in another game affected by the elements.

Olly Cox also made 41 for Barnt Green batting at number three against Moseley.

He faced 61 balls and struck five boundaries in a total of 185-9 from 40 overs and then Moseley reached 61-2 in reply.
