WOMEN’S RAPIDS SUFFER MORE WEATHER FRUSTRATION IN T20 COMPETITION

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids suffered more weather frustration with tomorrow’s ECB County T20 Group Two double header with Warwickshire at Bromsgrove CC called off because the ground is unplayable.

It was their second wash-out in the competition after last weekend’s two games against Staffordshire at Stafford CC suffered the same fate.

They will be hoping for better fortunes with the weather when they take on Leicestershire at the same venue on Bank Holiday Monday, May 8.

Finals Day is scheduled for Sunday, May 14.

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids captain, Chloe Hill said: “It’s disappointing to have another call-off but it’s been an exceptionally wet start to the summer across many regions.

“Everything is chomping at the bit to play and will just have to continue with their practice sessions in the hope that the weather will improve over the next couple of weeks.”
