ANOTHER HALF CENTURY FOR WORCESTERSHIRE KEEPER-BATTER HENRY CULLEN

Worcestershire keeper-batter, Henry Cullen, hit his second half-century in three innings for Plenty Valley CC.

Cullen followed up his 72 versus Kew by making 54 off 69 balls in the Victoria Cricket Association with visiting Elsternick CC.

He hit one six and four fours and put on 102 for the second wicket with Naman Sharma (64).

Cullen was second out at 126, but there were no more significant contributions, and Plenty Valley totalled 178-6 in 45 overs after being put into bat.

Cullen then took one catch, instigated a run out and conceded only two byes.

Plenty Valley were hot favourites after reducing their opponents to 33-4, but they recovered to win by three wickets with 11 balls to spare.

Over in South Africa, Gareth Roderick was dismissed for 17 as Green Point (133 all out) went down by five wickets to UWC in a Western Province Premier Division encounter.

Roderick was second out at 81-2, but wickets then tumbled, and UWC reached their target in only 25.5 overs.
