Worcestershire Seconds will be in action at New Road today (Monday) when they take on their Nottinghamshire counterparts in a Second Eleven Trophy encounter (11am start).
Coach Kevin Sharp's side are occupying a mid-table spot in the Championship but will be seeking their first win of the campaign in the 50 over format.
Several established second team players will be absent.
Spinner Ben Twohig and all-rounder Zen Malik have returned to England Under-19 duty for the second 'Test' against Sri Lanka Under-19s at Northampton after being released to play in last week's Championship match against Lancashire.
They will link up with County team-mates, batsmen Ollie Westbury and Josh Dell, while a fifth player selected for the Under-19s – Josh Tongue – is ruled out through injury.
Alex Hepburn will again skipper the side with George Rhodes part of the first team squad for the crucial Royal London One-Day Cup clash at Trent Bridge.
The two sides will meet again in a Second Eleven Championship match at RGS Worcester stating on Tuesday.
