George Rhodes top-scored with a half century for North Canberra Gungahlin as they triumphed in a rain-hit Australian Capital Territory first grade encounter with visiting Ginninderra.
The Worcestershire all-rounder had already made an impact with the ball with 4-53 against Weston Creek Molonglo on his debut for the club.
Now Rhodes opened the innings at the Harrison Oval and made a patient 54 from 108 balls with just one boundary.
He figured in stands of 34, 59 and 38 before being third out at 131 as the Northies totalled 211-7 in their 50 overs.
Ginninderra reached 58-3 off 18 overs in reply when the heavens opened and they were behind the required scoring rate.
Alex Hepburn's side Willetton Dragons bowled out Rockingham-Mandurah for 66 on day one of the Western Australian Cricket Association first grade match.
Willetton put their opponents into bat with A. McCall (5-22 in 14 overs) and M. Johnston (3-37 in 17.1 overs) doing the damage as they were bowled out in 35.1 overs.
Willetton then reached 83-3 off 22.3 overs before declaring – 17 runs ahead – and by the close Rockingham had reached 29-1 in their second innings.
