TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ALLAN LAMB DINNER AS PART OF JOE LEACH TESTIMONIAL

Tickets are still available for an Evening with Allan Lamb at Visit Worcestershire New Road as part of the Joe Leach Testimonial Year on Friday June 28.

Lamb was one of England’s finest stroke players and in 79 Tests scored 4,656 runs with 14 centuries and in 122 ODIs amassed 4,010 runs.

He represented England at three World Cups and was part of the sides which finished runners-up in 1987 and 1992.

Lamb scored more than 30,000 runs for Northamptonshire between 1978 and 1995 and was a Wisden Cricketer Of The Year in 1981.

He made his Test and ODI debuts in 1982 and one of the highlights was hitting three centuries in the 1984 Test series against the then all-conquering West Indies side.

The evening will be staged in partnership with 3BP in South Africa and over the last seven years the group has raise in excess of £70,000 to support projects in some of the most deprived areas in South Africa.

In addition to hearing Allan Lamb’s cricket experiences, the evening will feature a three course dinner, live music, an auction and competitions including a game ‘Lamb or Mutton Dressed As Lamb.’

Tickets cost £60 per person and can be obtained by contacting Mark Ashbourne at ma004g2691@gmail.com or on 07506 747619.
