Worcestershire Under-17s dominated the first part of the day with the ball but were then on the receiving end of a double century from Jack Moore in the ECB County Championship clash with Devon Under-17s at Sandford.
Devon elected to bat and the Worcestershire new ball pairing of Matt Davis and Riecko Parker-Cole reduced them to 29-4.
The visitors were still in the ascendancy at 117-7 but Moore, who came in at the fall of the third wicket, led a recovery by Devon to 372-9 declared from 84 overs.
He shared in partnerships of 61 with Luke Medlock, 49 with Ed Middleton and then an unbroken 145 for the last wicket with Tom Simmons.
Moore was exactly 200 not out from 186 balls with one six and 31 fours when the declaration came with Simmons unbeaten on 56.
Parker-Cole finished with 2-56 and Davis 2-47 while Pete Clark (2-63) was the other main wicket-taker.
When Worcestershire launched their reply, Callum Lea and Xavie Clarke quickly fell to Simmons but Dan Holland was unbeaten on 25 by the close out of 51-2.
