Worcestershire Under-17s will be hoping to get their 2018 programme underway on Sunday when they take on Nottinghamshire in a 50 over friendly at RGS Worcester (11am start).
The scheduled encounter with Warwickshire at Bromsgrove School last month fell victim to the weather.
But a better weekend forecast means the County will be hopeful of using the Nottinghamshire game as a warm-up game for their Royal London One-Day Cup campaign.
They played some impressive cricket in the competition last summer and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the quarter-finals.
Academy Coach Elliot Wilson has named a 13 strong squad for Sunday’s fixture – including seven members of the full Academy intake for 2017-2018.
They are skipper Jack Haynes, Pete Clark, Xavie Clarke, Zain Ul-Hassan, Adam Finch, Mitchell Stanley and Matt Davis.
Worcestershire will also be competing in the ECB County Championship and drew all four of their games in 2017.
