Worcestershire Seconds climbed four places to finish in fourth spot in the final Second Eleven Championship table for 2016.
Coach Kevin Sharp's side won three of their nine matches in the North Division and ended up on 116 points.
This compared with one win – against Yorkshire at Barnt Green – and 82.5 points when finishing eighth last summer.
Worcestershire's three victories were achieved against Leicestershire at Oakham School, Northamptonshire at Kidderminster and Nottinghamshire at RGS Worcester.
They also came within two wickets of victory in the drawn encounter with Yorkshire at Scarborough.
The County collected 25 batting bonus points and 28 for bowling.
Although the Championship season is over, Worcestershire still have two matches to play and on Tuesday will start a four-day game against Middlesex at Kidderminster.
Worcestershire triumphed over Middlesex at Radlett when the sides last met towards the end of the 2014 campaign.
