Worcestershire wicket-keeper Alex Milton played a key role with the bat in helping Cardiff MCCU win the MCC Universities Challenge final at Lord's.
The 21-year-old was second top scorer with 63 as Cardiff overcame Loughborough University by 25 runs in the 50 overs a side contest.
It put the icing on what has been a successful campaign for Milton with the University side and also Cardiff CC.
Now the good news for Worcestershire is that he is available for the remainder of the summer.
Milton went in at 18-2 and initially helped to rebuild the innings during a partnership of 56 with Neil Brand (42).
He then featured in the decisive stand of 121 in only 18 overs with Jack Scriven.
Milton was finally fourth out at 194 having struck two sixes and three fours in his 91 ball knock.
Scriven was next to depart for 73 at 222-5 but an unbeaten 45 from captain-wicket-keeper Tom Cullen plus a quickfire 29 from Yuvraj Odedra lifted Cardiff MCCU to 291 all out in exactly 50 overs.
Loughborough were well placed in reply at 184-3 in the 36th over but were eventually dismissed for 266.
Alex Thomson finished with 5-41 from 9.2 overs and picked up four of the last five wickets to fall.
