Worcestershire's battling performance against champions and current runaway leaders Yorkshire has been rewarded by them moving out of the bottom two of the LV = County Championship.
Although eventually beaten by seven wickets at Scarborough, the five bonus points was sufficient to move skipper Daryl Mitchell's side above bottom placed Hampshire and Sussex in Division One.
Sussex collected only two points from their innings defeat at the hands of Nottinghamshire this week at Horsham.
Worcestershire maintained their 100 per cent record in terms of bowling bonus points this season and have collected 33 from 11 matches.
The two batting points accrued moved them onto 32 – the joint highest in Division One along with the Tykes.
Worcestershire have three remaining home games against Nottinghamshire, Sussex and Middlesex and travel away to Somerset and Durham.
Sussex have to play Yorkshire home and away in addition to coming to New Road in September.
