Worcestershire have climbed into third spot in Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship – just 15 points behind leaders Essex.
Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes' side moved up two places after their dramatic seven wicket win over Leicestershire at the Fischer County Ground.
Worcestershire's first win of the campaign in the competition came after they skittled the Foxes for just 43 in their second innings.
The County can also reflect on what might have been had rain not washed out the final two days of the fixture against Glamorgan at the Swalec Stadium when they were in total command.
But at least bottom placed Glamorgan did them a favour by holding up early pace-setters Essex and forcing them to settle for a draw yesterday.
Worcestershire have collected more batting bonus points than any other county in the division – 22 from five innings including four maximum hauls.
They will return to Championship action on Sunday against fourth placed Gloucestershire at New Road.
