Worcestershire CCC Under-19s were beaten by 95 runs in a 50 over match against the Midlands Club Cricket Conference as the county returned to playing at Stourbridge.
Midlands CCC were put into bat and totalled 228-6 and then bowled out Worcestershire for 133.
The county are keen to reignite their relationship with cricket in the Black Country and Stourbridge who in past decades have hosted Worcestershire first team and second eleven matches.
Patrick Brown picked up two early wickets for Worcestershire before Hassan Quami (36) and Alex Roslyn added 67 for the third wicket.
Roslyn then featured in a stand of 104 in 23 overs with Laeq Christi (40) for the fifth wicket.
A quickfire unbeaten 30 from 13 balls by Kuldip Diwan gave the Midlands CCC innings late impetus. Roslyn was dismissed for 92 off 135 balls with two sixes and eight fours.
Dom Badger (2-33), Freddie Wynn (2-32) and Brown (2-52) were the wicket-takers for Worcestershire.
Worcestershire were on the back foot after Amir Manzoor quickly removed their top three and they were 39-6 at one stage.
Darrel Williams hit an unbeaten 53 off 86 balls with two sixes and six fours and shared in stands of 45 with Ramanjot Jaswal (23) and40 with Brown (12).
But Worcestershire were dismissed with seven overs remaining.
