Worcestershire CCC return to playing cricket at Stourbridge Cricket Club tomorrow on Bank Holiday Monday when their Under-19 side take on the Midlands Club Cricket Conference in a 50 over fixture, starting at 11am.
The county are keen to reignite links with the Black Country – including Stourbridge where they used to play a first class fixture every season for many decades.
Worcestershire are playing eight days Academy cricket at Stourbridge this summer in the form of one three-day game against Lincolnshire Under-25s (July 21 to 23), and two two-day games versus Northamptonshire Under-19s (August 10 to 11) and the county's Second Eleven (August 24-25).
It is hoped eventually that county Second Eleven fixtures will return to Stourbridge.
Worcestershire Academy coach Elliot Wilson has named a 12 strong squad for tomorrow's fixture and will select from:
Freddie Wynn
Josh Haynes
Ollie Westbury
Zen Malik
Nick Hammond*
Ben Tegg+
Ramanjot Jaswal
Darrel Williams
Pat Brown
