Worcestershire CCC Academy ended their 2016 match programme in fine style with a comprehensive 105 run victory over their Warwickshire counterparts in a 50 over clash at Harbourne.
Opener George Balderson scored a half-century for Worcestershire and there were several other useful contributions in helping them to reach 277-9.
Then fine bowling by spinner Aaron Tomson and medium pacer Mahaaz Ahmed was largely responsible in dismissing Warwickshire for 172 in 40.1 overs.
Worcestershire opted to bat after winning the toss and Balderson shared in partnerships of 65 in 12 overs with Dan Holland (30) and 62 in 13 overs with Ed Bragg (31) for the second and third wickets.
Balderson was eventually out for 58 off 77 balls with seven fours and five wickets went down for 25 runs as Worcestershire rerached 174-7.
But then Tomson (36) and Louis Botes (27) added 62 in 10 overs for the eighth wicket and there was also a late flourish of 25 not out from 16 balls by Matt Davis.
Warwickshire reached 56-1 in reply before Ahmed removed Barhey (21) and Mousley (28) in quick succession.
Tomson then took centre-stage and returned the excellent figures of 5-32 from 10 overs.
