WORCESTERSHIRE YOUNGSTERS HELP MIDLANDS TO BUNBURY FESTIVAL TRIUMPH

Three Worcestershire CCC Academy-Pathway players helped the Midlands win the 50 over competition and finish runners-up in the T20 tournament in the 2021 Bunbury Cricket Festival at Loughborough.

Jack Home, Ben Clarke and Ben Clements were part of the team, which registered three victories out of three in the 50 over competition.

They defeated South and West by four wickets, London and East by 127 runs and North by three wickets.

Home, a full 2020-2021 Academy intake member, scored a half-century in the win over South and West and made valuable runs – 32 – late on against London and East.

Clarke delivered figures of 10-0-49-1 and 9.1-0-47-0 against the same opponents, while Clements bowled a couple of tidy spells.

The Midlands also reached the final of the T20 competition, and all three Worcestershire players were part of the team beaten by South and West by seven wickets.

Home and Clarke made useful runs in a total of 118-8, and then Clarke (4-0-30-0) and Clements (3-0-20-0) were part of the Midlands attack.
