The Board of Worcestershire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Charlotte Thornton-Smith as a Non-Executive Director. Charlotte, who is Head of the Worcester office at HCR Law, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Club’s board.
Charlotte’s legal background and leadership skills are expected to significantly contribute to the strategic direction and governance of WCCC. Her appointment comes at a crucial time as the club continues to strengthen its operations and community engagement.
Charlotte Thornton-Smith commented on her appointment: “I am honoured to join the board of Worcestershire County Cricket Club”.
“Worcestershire County Cricket Club is a prominent local institution, and I am excited to bring my experience from HCR Law and knowledge of the local area to support the club’s growth and success. I look forward to working with my fellow board members and contributing to the vibrant future of Worcestershire.”
Worcestershire also announce that Tom Scott has stepped down from the board. Tom’s tenure has been marked by significant contributions to the club, and his dedication has been instrumental in several key initiatives.
Tom Scott reflected on his time at Worcestershire: “It has been a privilege to serve on the board of Worcestershire County Cricket Club, and serve as CEO before that”.
“I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that the club will continue to thrive. I wish Charlotte and the rest of the board all the best for the future.”
Acting Chair Dave Baker expressed his gratitude for Tom’s service and welcomed Charlotte: “We are deeply grateful to Tom for his invaluable service and commitment to the Club. His insights and leadership have been greatly appreciated”.
