Worcestershire County Cricket Club Announces Digital Partnership with Badger & Combes

Worcestershire County Cricket Club (WCCC) is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Badger & Combes, a leading digital broadcast and media company, to enhance the club’s live streaming capabilities.

This collaboration will see Badger & Combes provide a suite of support and development packages aimed at driving digital growth, improving broadcast quality, and creating new opportunities for media talent within the club and the wider Worcestershire community.

In addition to technical improvements, a key element of the partnership is Training and Talent Development, leveraging local university and college internship programs to provide hands-on learning experiences for aspiring media professionals. Badger & Combes will work closely with the Club to elevate the storytelling and narrative capture around the Club’s games and wider activities.

Further support will be provided in the form of Digital Growth Consultancy, with Badger & Combes acting as a strategic partner to help Worcestershire explore new commercial opportunities and enhance their digital engagement strategies. Additionally, recognising the unique challenges posed by flooding at Visit Worcestershire New Road, Badger & Combes will offer specialist services, ensuring seamless continuity of cricket broadcasts from outgrounds if necessary.

Joe Tromans, Worcestershire County Cricket Club’s Commercial Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:

“We are thrilled to be working with Badger & Combes, who bring a wealth of expertise in digital media, live broadcasting, and talent development.

“This partnership represents a major step forward in our commitment to enhancing digital engagement and delivering high-quality content for our supporters and stakeholders.

“The combination of technical improvements, training opportunities, and strategic consultancy will significantly strengthen our ability to showcase Worcestershire to a wider audience.”

Colin McKevitt, Managing Director of Badger & Combes, also shared his excitement:

“We are extremely excited to be supporting Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

“Our aim is to help the Club grow its digital footprint, improve the quality of its broadcasts, and provide new opportunities for emerging talent in sports media.

“Worcestershire has already shown great ambition in this space, and we look forward to building on that strong foundation to create even more engaging digital content in the years to come.”

This partnership marks a significant milestone in Worcestershire’s ongoing efforts to innovate in the digital and media space, reinforcing the club’s reputation as a forward-thinking organisation embracing the future of sports broadcasting.
