Worcestershire will be hoping for better fortunes with the weather when they take on Hampshire in a two-day pre-season game at the Utilita Bowl starting on Monday, March 25.
Their opening three-day fixture with Durham UCCE at Chester Road, Kidderminster was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Worcestershire have announced a 13 strong squad with Club Captain, Brett D’Oliveira, skippering the side.
Joe Leach, Worcestershire’s leading wicket-taker last summer, is included after undergoing knee surgery in January.
Head Coach Alan Richardson said: “We will try and play two days where each team gets to bat and bowl for a full day but that will be very much weather dependent.”
The fixture at Hampshire has become a regular feature of the pre-season programme in recent seasons.
