Worcestershire CCC Academy (Under-18s) will launch their 2023 programme on Tuesday, April 4, with a 50-over friendly encounter against local rivals Warwickshire Under-18s at Kidderminster CC (11am start).
The Academy (Under-18s) will again be competing in a trio of ECB competitions consisting of six T20 Vitality Blast matches, five three-day group games in the County Championship, and the 50-over knockout competition.
They will also participate in the Birmingham and District Premier League Graham Williamson Trophy (GWT) when they travel to take on Berkswell.
The Academy enjoyed a successful 2022 in reaching the final of the Graham Williamson Trophy, knocking out three sides before losing to Smethwick at New Road.
They also topped their three-day County Championship group, in which they were unbeaten, and reached the quarter-finals of the 50-over tournament.
In addition to the six ECB T20 games, other friendly matches against other counties will take place on some of the days to provide more cricket for the youngsters.
After a block of early season friendlies, the Under-18 T20 Blast will take centre stage in May and the bulk of the County Championship matches will be played throughout August.
In the 50-over competition, Worcestershire will take on Warwickshire at Portland Road in early July.
