Worcestershire Women’s Rapids hopes of retaining the ECB County T20 Cup Group Two were ended at the semi-final stage when they went down by 37 runs to Warwickshire at Leek CC.
Warwickshire opted to bat and totalled 133-4 in their 20 overs.
Ellie Anderson, fresh from helping England Under-19s reach the final of the ICC T20 World Cup, took the new ball and made the first breakthrough in bowling Eve Jones (21).
There was then a wicket for youngster Phoebe Brett who accounted for Marie Kelly (33).
Hannah Hardwick chipped in by dismissing Bethan Ellis (37) and Ria Fackrell (16), both caught by Charis Pavely, who had also been part of the successful England Under-19s side.
Anderson finished with figures of 4-0-22-1, Brett 4-0-26-1 and Hardwick 3-0-17-2.
When the Rapids replied, Clare Boycott (24) and captain Chloe Hill (23) both struck three boundaries.
The Rapids reached 63-2 in the 12th over, but with the run rate climbing, they were bowled out for 96 from the last ball of the 20 overs.
Former Worcestershire player, Hannah Baker, returned 4-14 from her four overs.
Warwickshire went on to win the competition by defeating Staffordshire by nine wickets in the final.
Staffordshire had earlier overcome Leicestershire in the first semi-final.
