Worcestershire Women’s Rapids make the lengthy trip to Durham tomorrow (Sunday) for a bottom two encounter in the ECB Royal London County One-Day Championship.
The Rapids have had a testing start to the 2019 campaign against three of the strongest sides in the competition in Middlesex, Berkshire and Devon.
They are teams who currently all occupy a position in the top four of the Division Two table.
But now the Rapids face a side who have lost all of their opening three matches and are separated from them by just five points.
Rapids Lead coach Steve Magoffin said: “We are heading up to Durham, having again prepared very well.
“After a tough few weeks, against strong opposition, the squad has learnt a lot, and we are hoping for a successful trip up North.
“There are a few changes to the team, with Jess Humby and Sally Clarke being unavailable, so Jenny Cotham comes into the 12 for her first game this season”.
The Rapids have seven points to their name and the 50 overs per side battle will take place at Brandon CC.
