Worcestershire CCC Academy coach Elliot Wilson has named a 12 man squad for the three-day clash with Lincolnshire Under-25s which gets underway at Stourbridge CC today (Tuesday) with play starting at 11am.
It is the start of seven days cricket at the venue for the Academy between now and the end of the campaign.
Wilson has stressed the desire to reignite links between the county and the Black Country.
The Academy will be in action in three matches – one three-day and two two-dayers – at Stourbridge between now and the conclusion of the season.
Next month the Academy will do battle with Northamptonshire Under-19s (August 10-11) at Stourbridge.
The trio of Stourbridge games will be completed with a match against Worcestershire CCC Seconds (August 24-25).
Stourbridge regularly staged Worcestershire first team games for many seasons and up until the 1990s still hosted Second Eleven matches.
