Worcestershire Seconds will be looking to transfer their recent form in T20 and Championship cricket into the 50 over game when they launch their Second Eleven Trophy campaign tomorrow.
The Seconds will take on Unicorns at Kidderminster's Chester Road ground (11am start) and on the following day tackle Durham at the same venue.
Coack Kevin Sharp's side have won five of their last six T20 matches plus the Championship encounter with Yorkshire.
They will be hoping for better luck with the weather against Unicorns than in the T20 competition when both games at Knypersley were washed out.
All-rounder Ross Whiteley returns to the Seconds side after being part of the squad for the current LV = County Championship match with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Whiteley scored 132 off 81 balls when playing league cricket for Chesterfield at the weekend after his 41 not out had almost pulled off a dramatic win for Worcestershire Rapids against Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the NatWest T20 Blast.
Jack Manning will be behind the stumps and the 17-year-old played one match in the Championship for the Seconds last summer against Derbyshire.
He plays for both Wolverhampton and Worcestershire Under-17s.
The Seconds squad to face the Unicorns is:
Kohler-Cadmore
Brett D'Oliveira
George Rhodes
Alexei Kervezee
Ross Whiteley
Shaaiq Choudhry (c)
Alex Hepburn
Jack Manning (w)
Darrel Williams
Liam Smith
Pat Brown
12th man Alex Woods.
