ross whiteley is to play in the pakistan super league early next year for multan sultans.
the worcestershire all-rounder has already tasted t20 action in the bangladesh premier league for sylhet sixers and played in the inaugural t10 tournament in sharjah this winter.
now he will switch back to t20 mode as part of the sultans squad in a competition which runs from february 22 to the final on march 25.
it will give whiteley more experience of playing against some of the best t20 specialists in the world before he returns to action at New Road next summer.
also part of the sultans line-up are kumar sangakkara, kieron pollard, darren bravo, shoaib malik, umar gul, junaid khan, mohammad irfan and imran tahir.
the other teams taking part are peshawar zalmi, karachi kings, quetta gladiators, lahore qalanders and islamabad united.
whiteley will fly out to the uae in mid february to prepare for the tournament.
the opening fixture of the tournament will see the sultans in action against peshawar zalmi in dubai on february 22 and the clash with islamabad united three days later at the same venue.
dubai and sharjah will stage the group matches but the eliminators will take place in lahore on march 20 and 21 and the final in karachi on march 25.
