Westbury Makes Telling Impact In All Formats For Hay Park

Worcestershire Academy opener Ollie Westbury has made a telling contribution in all formats of the game for Hay Park in Australia this winter.

Westbury was Hay Park's leading run-getter in the Bunbury and District Cricket Association T20 competition which his side won last weekend via victory over Eaton in the Grand Final.

He scored 154 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 128.30 with a highest score of 69 against Leschenault.

He finished ahead of Jono Whitney (127) and Ross Knoll (122) who were Hay Park's other main contributors with the bat.

Westbury also chipped in with six wickets and had figures of 17-0-84-6 with only Chris Waddingham (11) collecting more scalps.

In BDCA first grade cricket, Westbury has also performed well and is currently Hay Park's second highest scorer on 358 runs at an average of 39.78.

His highest score to date is 111 not out against Colts and only Knoll, with 384 runs at 54.86, has surpassed his tally with Whitney having weighed in with 302 runs at 33.56.

Westbury's four first grade wickets have cost him 57.25 runs apiece with overall figures of 51-5-229-4.

In addition, Westbury skippered the BDCA X1 in the Country Week tournament when he was the competition's top run-scorer.
