Worcestershire Rapids are back in action at New Road on Friday, looking to make it back to back wins after sweeping aside Warwickshire Bears last Friday.

Mid-table in the group, the Rapids will be hoping to continue their impressive early season form and make it three wins from four in a first match against Glamorgan in the Blast since 2020.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can now enter the ground 30 minutes before gates open to the general public, giving them a chance to acclimatise and explore in a quieter, calmer setting.

Tickets are still available 

Adult tickets are just £25 when bought in advance, while kids can enter for £5, so bring the family! We’ll have Mascot Ali patrolling the boundary and taking selfies in between the action. Sandwiches, sausage rolls and pasties are available from the Severn Suite, while barista-style coffee and soft drinks are available from Cow Corner Coffee within Scoreboard Plaza. The Club shop will be open for anyone wanting to pick up their Rapids kit!

Those collecting tickets or membership cards should head to the ‘ticket collection’ booth in front of the main entrance.

Make the most of the early start

With a sold-out crowd and 100% bag checks in operation, we encourage supporters to arrive as early as possible. We’ll have entertainment from singer Jack Gayler keeping everyone entertained in Scoreboard Plaza from 4 pm, while all our food and drink vendors will be ready to serve from the time gates open.

IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION

If you selected ‘mobile tickets’ at checkout, your ticket is waiting for you in the new Worcestershire CCC Ticket app.

The app can be downloaded from either the

Apple App Store        Google Play Store.

Once downloaded, sign in with the email address used to buy the tickets. You’ll be sent a verification code to gain access. Once in, you’ll see the tickets you’ve purchased. The QR codes will activate 24 hours before the game starts. Sending tickets to others is easy. Simply select ‘send ticket’ on the ticket you wish to transfer, and add the recipient’s email address.

Please note that all mobile tickets must be downloaded prior to the game in order to gain entry to the ground. On arrival, just open the app, select your ticket, and present the QR code at the gate for scanning.

For the best experience and to avoid any delays getting into the ground, we recommend downloading your tickets before arriving at the venue and ensuring your phone is fully charged on the day.

Security information

Following the Government’s decision to raise the UK threat level to severe, we’ll be operating increased security protocols for this game. These include:

  • 100% bag checks: All bags entering the ground will be searched by a steward. Please note that no sharp objects or glass bottles will be allowed into the ground.
  • Visual car inspections: Members using the disabled parking spaces behind the Basil D’Oliveira Stand will have their car visually inspected by a steward at the gate.

Cow Corner Coffee

Those visiting New Road for the first time this season will spot a new addition within the food village – Cow Corner Coffee. The newly installed air stream offers barista-style coffee and tea, as well as water and soft drinks.

Please note that New Road is a cashless venue.

Bennetts Ice Cream Food Village

Right in the heart of Scoreboard Plaza is the Bennetts Food Village, and it’s packed with a variety of vendors.

For those wanting their meat fix, head to Ounce Bar & Kitchen for a juicy steak & chips, or Stuffed by Cartwright, who’ll be offering pulled meats, chips. Nachos and wraps.

If you’re feeling Italian, check out the Hand Stretched Pizza Company. Those who want to taste traditional fish & chips or fried chicken should head to Street Food on Tap.

With the sun set to shine, it’s the perfect excuse to pick up an ice cream, which is handily located in the food village. Vendors will be open from 3.30 pm.

Purple Granite Bar

It’s hard to miss our newly named ‘Purple Granite Bar’, situated in Scoreboard Plaza opposite the recently refurbished Club shop.

Head here for a wide selection of draught beers, cider and more. You’ll also be able to choose from a variety of snacks, pick up a pot of incredible Bennetts Ice Cream!

On the New Road side of the ground, on the left as you come out of the turnstiles, is the Stowford Press bar.

Car Parking & Entry

We encourage spectators to leave their cars at home and use public transport wherever possible.

Car parking can be booked 48 hours in advance for members and 24 hours for non-members via your online account.

You can find details of other car parks close to New Road here. Please note, cars will be held in the car park for 15 minutes following the end of play to allow spectators to safely leave the grounds.

  • Am I allowed to bring my own food and drinks?

    For Vitality Blast T20 games, spectators can bring food and soft drinks (no glass) for personal consumption, in a small bag, which will be searched. You cannot bring in alcohol, but you can bring in alcohol free drinks (e.g 0% Guinness, 0% cider), but no glass (4 cans).

  • How do I purchase tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased online via the WCCC website or in Reception at New Road.

  • Will parking be available for this match?

    We encourage spectators to leave their cars at home and use public transport wherever possible.

    Pay-and-display parking is available in the Severn Bridge Car Park in front of the Premier Inn.
