USEFUL RUNS AND TWO WICKETS FOR WORCESTERSHIRE PACEMAN PENNINGTON DOWN UNDER

Worcestershire CCC paceman, Dillon Pennington, made useful runs and picked up two more wickets for Adelaide CC in their SACA Premier Cricket first grade match with visiting Glenelg.

Pennington came in at number nine and struck 15 not out with one six and one four to help Adelaide total 158 in 45.1 overs after being 73-6 at one stage.

He then broke through in his second over with the new ball in dismissing Jake Winter for a duck to reduce Glenelg to 4-2.

Winter could only fend off a Pennington bouncer into the hands of short leg.

Pennington switched ends after an initial four over spell and claimed his second scalp during the first over of his third spell.

He accounted for Benjamin Bullimore (43) with the total on 111-4. He was caught off another bouncer at fine leg.

But there was no more success for Adelaide as their opponents won by six wickets with 19.3 overs to spare.

Pennington ended with figures of 8-0-31-2 to add to his trio of wickets against Northern Districts last weekend.
