TWO WICKETS FOR PAT BROWN ON T10 LEAGUE DEBUT FOR TUSKERS

Pat Brown picked up two wickets – and an important catch – on his T10 League debut to help Karnataka Tuskers to a 19 run win over Delhi Bulls in Abu Dhabi.

The Worcestershire paceman helped his side to successfully defend a total of 110-5 after they had been put into bat by Bulls captain Eoin Morgan.

Brown, who linked up with the Tuskers directly from England’s T20I Series against New Zealand, came into the attack for the third over and dismissed opener Kusal Perera for nine with 24 on the board.

He then showed a safe pair of hands to dismiss dangerman Morgan, his captain against the Black Caps, for 21 off 10 balls from the bowling of Nathan Rimmington.

Brown came back into the attack for the Bulls final over and collected his second wicket by bowling Ali Khan for six.

He ended with figures of 2-19 from his permitted two overs as the Bulls closed on 91-8.

Earlier, Brown’s County team-mate, Ross Whiteley, had time to score four not out in a cameo role batting at number five in the Tuskers 110-5.

Upul Tharanga (48) and Shafiqullah (34) had been the main contributors for the Tuskers who were captain by Hashim Amla.
