Charlie Morris made a winning start for Tuggeranong Valley who defeated home side Western District UC by eight wickets in the ACT Premier Cricket first grade 50 over competition.
The Worcestershire paceman picked up two wickets and ended with figures of 2-51 from 10 overs.
Morris removed number three T. Engelbrecht for nought, holding onto a caught and bowled chance, to leave Western District on 21-2 after choosing to bat.
He then returned to the attack to dismiss B. Duffy (29) as Western District were restricted to 187-9 in their 50 overs.
Tuggeranong made light of their target with Justin Haywood (51), Amit Sharma (43) and Timmy Flowers (68 not out) as they reached 189-2 in just 24 overs.
