Jacques Banton picked up two wickets for Worcestershire CCC Academy, who went down by five wickets to a Cricket Scotland ‘A’ team in a 50 over game at Old Hill.
Banton, who had scored 33 and taken three wickets in the Royal London Cup encounter with Sussex, made the switch to Academy cricket along with other Rapids first team squad members in Ben Parker and Henry Cullen.
Xavier Clarke (68) and Zain Ul-Hassan (54) put on 61 for the third wicket, as the Academy totalled 195 all out in 44.4 overs after being put into bat.
Banton collected two middle order wickets and ended with 2-27 from 5.4 overs as Cricket Scotland totalled 196-5 in 30.4 overs.
Parker (1-32) and Oliver Davidson (1-43) were the other wicket-takers while Mitchell Stanley bowled five overs on his return from injury.
*Callum Bennett scored a century for the Worcestershire Sub Academy, in a two-day game with Gloucestershire Cricket Board, also at Old Hill.
Bennett was unbeaten on 125 from 193 balls, out of 272 all out after Worcestershire opted to bat.
He struck one six and 19 fours, and shared in stands of 69 with Harry Sockett (29) and 53 for the last wicket with Sam Keeling-Wright, whose 35 off 18 deliveries included three sixes.
There was also a century-maker for Gloucestershire in Will Hope who ended on 161 not out in a total of 274-3.
Dylan Griffiths (1-49), Ciaran Baker-Smith (1-41), and Keeling-Wright (1-50) picked up a wicket apiece.
