Three Worcestershire players reached individual milestones on the opening day of the three-day clash with Oxford MCCU in The Parks.
County wicket-keeper Ben Cox registered his 100th catch for Worcestershire during the morning session.
Cox reached three figures when he held onto a chance offered by Oxford MCCU opener Henry Hughes off paceman Charlie Morris in the 10th over of the innings.
Then skipper and opener Daryl Mitchell maintained his fine form during the pre-season programme with a fourth half century during the final session of the day.
And when on 19, the 31-year-old passed 8,000 first class runs for Worcestershire.
In all cricket, Mitchell has scored 8,434 runs at an average of 39.97.
The third individual landmark saw Tom Fell clock up 1,000 first class runs for the county when he reached 41 against the students before being dismissed two runs later.
In addition Worcestershire spinner Brett D'Oliveira's first innings figures of 2-23 were his best in first class cricket.
