🇦🇺 Adam Finch – Sturt CC, Australia
Adam Finch picked up three wickets for Sturt on the opening day of the South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket first grade encounter against Adelaide University.
But the Worcestershire pace bowler and his teammates are facing an uphill battle after 22 wickets fell on the opening day.
Finch made 20 not out in Sturt’s first innings of 112 all out in 37.4 overs after they had been put into bat.
He then took the new ball and removed top scorer Liam Greber (60) and Miles Hammond (42) and finished with figures of 8.1-3-19-3.
Adelaide University were bowled out for 197 in 46.1 overs.
Finch went in as a nightwatchman in Sturt’s second innings and was dismissed for nought as his side closed on 10-2.
🇦🇺 Henry Cullen – Plenty Valley CC, Australia
Henry Cullen scored 30 and picked up two catches and a stumping to help Plenty Valley to victory over Ivanhoe in a two-day Victoria Cricket Association encounter played over this weekend.
Cullen went in at number three and struck six boundaries in his 49-ball knock before being run out.
A century from Alex Cole helped Plenty Valley total 326-7 from 80 overs on day one, and then their bowlers dominated the remainder of the game.
Ivanhoe were bowled out for 136 in their first innings and were 83-7 when they followed on as Cullen, and his teammates came close to forcing the outright win.
🇦🇺Taylor Cornall & Dillon Pennington – Adelaide CC, Australia
Taylor Cornall will resume on one not out next weekend when Adelaide attempts to chase down a 329 target against Port Adelaide in a South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket first-grade fixture.
Dillon Pennington took the new ball for Adelaide and had figures of 19-2-70-0, while Cornall bowled three overs for 24 runs as Port Adelaide totalled 328-7 declared in 89 overs.
Opener Joshua Hoffman (104) and Jack Wood (89) were the main contributors.
Cornall safely negotiated 12 deliveries as Adelaide reached 7-0 from five overs by the close.
🇦🇺 Ben Gibbon – Willetton CC, Australia
Ben Gibbon was on the winning side as Willetton chased down a 233 target on the second day to defeat Bayswater Morley by two wickets in a Western Australia Cricket Association first-grade meeting.
Gibbon had picked up two wickets on the opening day as Bayswater Morley were bowled out for 232 and then went in as nightwatchman as Willetton closed day one on 9-2.
He survived for 40 deliveries in making seven before being dismissed, and then D’Arcy Short struck 117 off 158 deliveries as Willetton reached 235-8.
🇿🇦Gareth Roderick – Green Point CC, South Africa
Gareth Roderick skippered Green Point CC to a 77-run win over UWC in a low-scoring Western Province Premier Division encounter.
Roderick was out for three after Green Point were put into bat, but 63 from opener Zac Elkin lifted the final total to 146 all out.
It proved more than sufficient as Wesley Bedja (4-13), and Guy Sheena (3-16) dismissed UWC for 69.
🇿🇦 Pat Brown – St. Augustine CC, South Africa
Pat Brown picked up two wickets as St. Augustine CC gained a resounding 159-run win over Yorkshire CC in a Western Province B Division fixture.
Brown took the new ball and had figures of 6.2-2-23-2 as Yorkshire were bowled out for 85.
St. Augustine had earlier totalled 244 in 49.5 overs, with Brown, batting at number eight, dismissed for nought.
