Paceman Josh Tongue is included in the Worcestershire Seconds squad for the three-day friendly with Somerset Seconds at Taunton Vale beginning tomorrow.
Tongue impressed when making his first class debut for the County last week in the three-day against Oxford MCCU in The Parks.
Ben Twohig, who like Tongue has been part of the England Development Programme this winter, is also named by Second Eleven coach Kevin Sharp in a 12 strong squad.
George Rhodes, who has enjoyed a successful winter in Australia playing for North Canberra Gungahlin, will skipper the side.
The Seconds will be hoping for better fortunes with the weather after a rain-hit start to the campaign.
A 40 over friendly with Durham at Richmondshire CC last Monday was abandoned without a ball being bowled and the Second Eleven Trophy match between the two sides at the same venue on the following day suffered the same fate.
