Tom Fell says he has been deeply moved by the support of his Worcestershire team-mates who have organised this evening's #YELL4FELL and Cricket Versus Cancer evening as part of the NatWest T20 Blast clash with Derbyshire Falcons at New Road.
The County squad and coaching staff are to recognise the battle of Fell – and first team scorer Dawn Pugh – against cancer by wearing a special one-off yellow kit with black bottoms.
Yellow coloured T-shirts to mark the occasion will be available for supporters to buy and all proceeds will be split between the charities Oddballs, MacMillan Cancer Research and Leukaemia Care who will all be in attendance this evening.
Fell has returned to playing Second Eleven cricket after his double fight against the disease and was named in the first team squad for last week's Specsavers County Championship clash with Derbyshire although he did not make the final eleven.
He said: "It's not really a day about me. It's a day about cancer in general and people who have lost loved ones and those who are battling it at the moment.
"It's a brilliant thing which the lads have done.It means a lot to me and to Dawn because they have clearly thought about us and what we have been going through.
"You do see the best of human nature when you go through something like this and your closest friends and family really do come together."
