Nathan Smith will return to the Worcestershire side for the Vitality County Championship Division One fixture with Kent at Canterbury beginning on Friday (May 10).
The New Zealander made a big impact with bat and ball in the opening three matches of the season against Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire and Durham.
Smith was rested for the drawn encounter with Somerset at Kidderminster but returns to a 13 strong squad for the trip to the South East.
The match preview is brought to you by JPM Broking Services.
Jason Holder will make his final appearance of his current spell for Worcestershire.
The former West Indies captain has made several telling contributions with the ball, including his three wicket bursts against Durham and Somerset, and useful runs.
But of equal importance has been his willingness to pass on some of his vast experience and knowledge to some of the other Worcestershire players.
Joe Leach collected his 450th first class wicket for Worcestershire against Somerset and is gradually regaining full match fitness after undergoing knee surgery in late January.
Only one point separates sixth placed Kent, who defeated Lancashire in their last match, and seventh placed Worcestershire in the table.
The Worcestershire players will be wearing the number 33 on their shirts underneath the badge for the rest of the season in honour of Josh Baker who sadly passed away last week. Both sides will also wear black armbands and a minute’s applause will take place before day one.
