Zain Shah was amongst the runs for Worcestershire CCC Academy who went down by seven wickets to Devon Lions in a 50 over match at Cheltenham.
Shah came to the wicket with the Academy 23-3 and made 76 to help them recover to 174-6 in their 50 overs.
He shared in stands of 75 with Ramanjot Jaswal (25) and 48 with Zak Smith (25) before being dismissed in the penultimate over.
Shah's 111 ball innings contained seven fours.
Devon Lions reached their target with 5.2 overs to spare after a patient 43 from Reid Mawdsley who figured in partnerships of 69 with Jam Toms (49) and 61 with Barney Huxtable (36 not out).
Mawdsley was dismissed with just three needed for victory and Huxtable's knock from only 34 balls with a six and five fours gave the innings acceleration.
Lee Tyrrell was the most successful Academy bowler with 2-48 but Dan Lloyd sent down his 10 overs at a cost of only 24 runs.
The 31 extras during the Lions innings included 22 wides.
