Seven Worcestershire CCC players will be competing in the inaugural The Hundred competition next summer after last night’s draft.
Rapids captain Moeen Ali and paceman Pat Brown had already been selected earlier in the month by the Birmingham Phoenix who are jointly managed by Worcestershire CCC and Warwickshire CCC.
Riki Wessels will be the third Worcestershire player to link up with Birmingham Phoenix.
They have been joined by Ross Whiteley (Southern Brave), Wayne Parnell (Manchester Originals), Ben Cox (Trent Rockets), and Ed Barnard (Northern Superchargers) from the draft with one more ‘wild card’ player per team to be selected after next summer’s Vitality Blast.
