Leaders Worcestershire Seconds will face a powerful Yorkshire Seconds attack in the Second Eleven Championship match at RGS Worcester starting tomorrow (Tuesday).
Liam Plunkett, Ryan Sidebottom, Ben Coard and Jack Brooks will be taking on coach Kevin Sharp's side in addition to the likes of opener Alex Lees, Will Rhodes, Matthew Waite and Andrew Hodd.
It is a big test for the Seconds who head the table with two matches to play.
But it is a challenge that former Yorkshire coach Sharp says the Seconds batsman should relish and that they will "do themselves a lot of favours" with a sizeable contribution against such an experienced attack.
He said: "We've got a big game coming up near the top of the league. We've got a very strong Yorkshire side coming – people like Ryan Sidebottom and Liam Plunkett and also Jack Brooks and Ben Coad.
"It is wonderful. I'm actually quite excited by it. At the end of the day we want our lads to develop and learn and grow.
"If our batting line-up have to go out and face an attack like that, I'm quite excited about it.
"I would always want that from the opposition. Our lads should be very excited about that themselves and if someone can make a big score against that attack in Second Eleven cricket, they are going to do themselves a lot of favours.
"I always look at those things as an absolute positive, never a negative at all.
"There are only two games to go and we've played some good cricket in that longer form of the game."
Josh Dell will be looking to repeat the form which brought him scores of 70 and 95 not out in the three-day clash with Glamorgan Seconds.
Sharp said: "He's had a back problem but he is back in the team now and got the opportunity to bat a bit higher in the order which is what we wanted to give him.
"He took his opportunity and played really well in both innings so it was good to see.
"He is a top four batter. The opportunities are there now for him to be able to do that."
Charlie Morris will again skipper the side, having led the Seconds against Glamorgan at Abergavenny.
