Worcestershire Seconds were beaten by Somerset Seconds in a brace of T20 friendly matches at Taunton Vale.
The County went down by 60 runs in Game One and five wickets in Game Two.
But Worcestershire will be encouraged by Tom Fell getting two games under his belt after completing a third bout of chemotherapy for cancer.
And NewZealander Mitchell Santner warmed up for the forthcoming NatWest T20 Blast with two solid performances with the ball.
In Game One Somerset opener Johann Myburgh scored 103 of his side's 197-3, a formidable total despite economical spells from Chris Russell and Santner.
Worcestershire replied with 137-9 and a top-score of 36 from Alex Hepburn with Zen Malik and Ollie Westbury the other main scorers.
Fell took over as captain and wicket-keeper for Game Two.
Worcestershire were restricted to 126-8 despite 36 from Alex Hepburn, 29 from Zen Malik and 25 not out from Ollie Westbury.
Somerset were reduced to 45-5 in reply triallist Matthew King picking up three wickets.
But an unbroken stand of 85 between Michael Leask and Tim Rouse saw Somerset home with 14 balls to spare.
