Worcestershire Seconds will return to Championship action tomorrow against Derbyshire at the start of a three-day fixture at Stourbridge CC.
Tom Fell is to make another appearance for the Seconds having made 223 – the highest score by a Worcestershire player in the Championship – against MCC Young Cricketers at Barnt Green last month.
Fell top-scored for the senior side with 33 off 87 balls in the second innings of the nine wicket defeat against Glamorgan in the Specsavers County Championship clash at New Road.
But he is hoping to spend some more time in the middle with the Seconds this week after a challenging start to the campaign, ahead of the Royal London One-Day semi-final at New Road on Saturday.
Paceman Alex Wilkinson will have his second Championship outing of 2017, having picked up six wickets against MCC YC.
The 20-year-old has played for Oxford MCCU – against Surrey, Warwickshire and Somerset – and also for Herefordshire this summer.
Alex Hepburn will skipper the side as coach Kevin Sharp continues his policy of rotating the captaincy after Ben Twohig was at the helm for last week's two T20 matches against MCC YC.
Worcestershire are currently lying seventh in the table, having beaten MCC YC and losing to Warwickshire at RGS Worcester and Lancashire at Northern CC.
