SECONDS PREPARING FOR BUSY FINALE TO 2019 CAMPAIGN

worcestershire seconds may have completed their competitive programme for 2019 but they still have plenty of 14 days of action to prepare for and look forward to during the final leg of the season.

the seconds will play two t20s, one four-day match and three three-dayers before the curtain is brought down on the campaign.

first on the agenda is a four-day match against local rivals warwickshire at portland road, edgbaston from august 12-15.

New Road will be venue for two t20 matches against gloucestershire seconds on august 19.

it will be the latest in a sizeable chunk of second eleven – and academy – cricket scheduled for the county’s headquarters this summer.

the seconds will then switch to three-day mode to face glamorgan at monmouth school from august 27-29.

next up will be a trip to guildford school to take on surrey seconds from september 3-5.

the season will be concluded with a home fixture against hampshire at kidderminster ccc’s chester road ground from september 9-11.
