Worcestershire Seconds were involved in an exciting draw with their Somerset counterparts in a two-day friendly at New Road.
The home side were set a target of 235 in 50 overs and finished just eight runs short with one wicket remaining.
Worcestershire declared their first innings on the overnight score of 137-9 – 41 in arrears.
They made an early breakthrough in Somerset's second innings when captain Max Waller, at the non striker's end, was run out by Ben Twohig at short cover.
Spinner Twohig followed up his first innings figures of 5-33 with another impressive performance and returned 3-41 from 16 overs to finish with match figures of 27.1-6-74-8.
Alex Hepburn also claimed three wickets with Josh Davey (28) again top-scoring for Somerset who were dismissed for 193 in 47.3 overs.
Worcestershire opener and skipper Ben Cox made 42 and the home side looked well placed at 155-2 after a stand of 73 between George Rhodes (40) and Hepburn (41).
Three wickets then fell for three runs before a partnership of 60 between Ollie Westbury (33) and Nick Hammond (23) lifted the total to 218-5.
Another mini collapse saw four wickets go down for seven runs to leave Worcestershire on 225-9.
Then in the final over Graeme Whiles was dropped at deep cover off Waller, the ball after Twohig's dismissal, and the game eventually ended in a draw.
