Seconds In T20 Double Header Versus Papau New Guinea At Worcester Rgs

Worcestershire Seconds launch their Second Eleven Trophy campaign with two matches this week – but before that they are taking on Papau New Guinea in two T20 matches at RGS Worcester tomorrow (Monday).

Papau New Guinea are using the double header as part of their preparations for the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier competition which is taking place in Ireland and Scotland from July 9 to 26.

The top six sides in the 14 team competition will qualify with the 10 full members for ICC World Twenty20 in India in 2016.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Brett D'Oliveira, regular members of the Worcestershire Rapids side in the NatWest T20 Blast, are included in the Seconds side with the matches taking place at 11.30am and 3pm at Flagge Meadow.

The Seconds have been in fine form in the T20 competition, winning five of their last six matches.

But it is the 50 over format that will occupy their thoughts after tomorrow with matches against Unicorns on Wednesday and Durham on Thursday at Kidderminster CC's Chester Road ground.
