Worcestershire Seconds had to settle for a draw when rain washed out the final day of their Second Eleven Championship clash with Durham Seconds at Brandon.
No play at all was possible and Worcestershire had to be content with 11 points from the three-day fixture and Durham 13.
Worcestershire had ended the second day on 218-5 in their second innings – a lead of 37 – with skipper Gareth Andrew undefeated on 103 from 162 balls with two sixes and 13 fours.
The Seconds will next be in action in a Second Eleven Trophy encounter with Warwickshire Seconds at Kenilworth Wardens CC on Monday (11am start).
The early finish at least meant Andrew was able to join up quicker with the Rapids squad for tomorrow's NatWest T20 Blast clash with Surrey Lions at the Kia Oval.
Andrew is part of a 13 man squad and is available purely as a batsman while he continues his rehabilitation from a back problem.
The threat of rain and a shortened contest could increase Andrew's chances of being selected.
He was brought into the side by Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes for a 13 overs a side clash with Durham Jets at New Road earlier in the season and hit a crucial 20 off 12 balls in a five wicket win.
