Worcestershire Seconds fought back on a truncated second day of the Second Eleven Championship clash with Yorkshire Seconds at York.
Yorkshire were bowled out for 298 after resuming on 135-2 and restricted to a first innings lead of 145.
Then Worcestershire openers Matt Pardoe (26) and George Rhodes (seven) scored an unbeaten 37 before rain ended play for the day at tea.
Yorkshire resumed their innings and Jack Leaning immediately showed his intent with several boundaries off the first few overs until Graeme Whiles broke their 100 run partnership with the wicket of Dan Hodgson, caught behind for 33.
Ten overs later, just as another partnership was building, George Rhodes caught at point the in-form batsman Leaning off the bowling of Nick Harrison for 74.
New England Under-19 captain Will Rhodes and Ryan Gibson batted steadily for Yorkshire through several bowling changes.
But the combination of George Rhodes, Harrison and Graeme Cessford restricted the home side to just 16 runs off the 10 overs leading up to lunch, at which point Yorkshire were 212-5.
Just four balls after lunch Cessford had Jordan Thompson caught at long-on by George Rhodes.
A flurry of boundaries from Ryan Gibson and Josh Shaw saw Yorkshire pass 250 in the 95th over but a return to the bowling attack of Ross Whiteley brought about a couple of timely wickets.
Then a run out in the 100th over ensured Worcestershire picked up 4 bowling points.
The new ball was taken at 100.4 overs in an effort to finish off the Yorkshire innings which was achieved four overs later when Whiteley caught Gibson off the bowling of Whiles for 54.
