Two players who appeared for Worcestershire Seconds this week against MCC Young Cricketers made significant contributions with the bat when they returned to Birmingham Premier League action.
Wicket-keeper Joe Dodd struck 69 off 108 balls with five fours for Wolverhampton in a Premier Division encounter with Walsall.
Dodd also picked up one catch but Walsall achieved a five wicket win with two overs to spare when pursuing a 192 target.
Zen Malik was also in good form for Wolverhampton batting at number three and made 70 off 112 balls.
But opponents Ombersley had little difficulty in chasing down a 162 target and triumphed by seven wickets in just 32.4 overs.
Worcestershire Seconds captain Ollie Westbury was on the winning side for Himley in the Division One side battle with Barnards Green.
Barnards Green were bowled out for 85 in 32.4 overs and Westbury (16) featured in an opening stand of 44 with Bilal Hussain (39 not out) in a nine wicket win.
