Worcestershire Seconds continue their warm-up programme today (Friday) with a 50 over friendly against their Somerset counterparts at Taunton Vale (11am start).
The match will be the third of four white ball friendlies ahead of the launch of the Second Eleven Trophy competition.
The Seconds defeated Shropshire at Wrekin College and then a ‘Rapids’ side defeated the ‘Royals’ at Kidderminster in a match comprising predominantly of Seconds and Academy players.
They had been scheduled to take on Somerset Seconds in a three-day friendly at Taunton Vale two weeks ago but the game was cancelled because of flooding.
George Rhodes will be looking to continue the form with the bat which brought him scores of 89 versus Shropshire and 97 against the ‘Royals.’
Paceman George Scrimshaw will have his third outing in six days as part of his comeback from back and rib injuries last summer.
Adam Finch has linked up with the Seconds after being released from the senior squad in action at Leicester.
The Seconds conclude their 50 over preparations on Tuesday when they take on Gloucestershire at RGS Worcester.
