Four Worcestershire Seconds players scored half centuries after their side were put into bat on day one of the Championship clash with Northamptonshire at Northfield CC.
Ben Twohig followed up his five wicket haul against Derbyshire at Stourbridge by top-scoring battng at number eight with 83.
He shared in an eighth wicket stand of 122 in 30 overs with Jack Shantry to lift Worcestershire from 239-7 when the pair joined forces.
Twohig struck two sixes and nine fours in his 121 ball knock and at the close Shantry was unbeaten on 61 from 99 deliveries with eight fours out of 380-9 declared.
The other major partnership of the day came between Alexei Kervezee and skipper Alex Hepburn.
They came together at 72-3 and added 139 in 30 overs.
Kervezee followed up his century at Stourbridge by making 74 off 83 balls with two sixes and 11 fours.
Hepburn made a determined 54 off 107 balls with one six and seven fours. Northants were left five overs batting before the close and reached 7-0.
