Worcestershire's Second Eleven and Academy players will be in action against each other in a 50 over match at Kidderminster tomorrow (Thursday),starting 11am.
The two teams will consist of a mix and match of full-time professionals, who are not part of the senior squad in action against Oxford MCCU, and the flourishing Academy intake at New Road.
Alex Hepburn and Chris Russell will be part of eleven that is going under the name of the 'Rapids' while George Rhodes has been named in the side which will play as the 'Royals.'
Hepburn and Rhodes enjoyed successful winters in Australia playing grade cricket while Russell spent the close season in South Africa.
Brothers Josh and Jack Haynes – sons of former Worcestershire all-rounder Gavin Haynes – will be on opposite sides at Chester Road.
Xavier Clarke, younger brother of County batsman-wicket-keeper Joe Clarke, is included in the Royals side.
The Second Eleven players will be looking to get some time in the middle under their belts before their 2016 competitive programme gets underway next week.
They take on Durham in a one-day friendly at Richmondshire CC on Monday (April 4) and the two sides face each other in the Second Eleven Trophy at the same venue on the following day.
